I agree, about this article and just about anything else I have read here. Seems to always be a U.S. is the good guy undertone.

It was my impression that the Russians were annoyed because the existing grain deal was used to attack their bridge. So they had to Do Something. But now it is time to Do Something Else, like cut some new deals somewhere. The Russians certainly don't want to offend Türkiye so I would expect something to be oiled and greased on the road to Ankara.

And, yes, China sits at the head of the table with most the chips. This was not unexpected.

This will not go well with the Africa-Russia Summit. Kenya has strongly criticized Russian actions. Where Russian embassies show the propaganda film "Battle for Africa" Putin's decisions appear to be giving victory to Putin's opponents.

The last time we had serious grain disruptions the Middle East decided to have an Arab Spring. This seems to be much worse unless the world can figure it out it will start to burn and perhaps begin to jump continents.
